What is the intersection of Business Architecture and the Agile Movement?

July 19, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm CDT

Explore the intersection of Business Architecture and the Agile movement.

Please join us while our host and sponsor, Trissential, welcomes our guests speakers to share topical ideas and expertise in a panel format.

  • Aileen Johnson—Lead Enterprise Business Architect at Target Corporation,
  • Charles Betz—Instructor at St. Thomas University,
  • David Hussman— Founder DevJam Studios, and
  • Garrett Gleason— Vice President Business Solutions at Thrivent Church Solutions Group

Business Architecture and Agile are both iterative approaches; continuously learning what is needed to deliver business value. How many of you have had difficulties helping others, or even yourselves, to understand the potential within these disciplines and the relationship between them? Have you struggled with folks that are removing planning as a part of being “an Agile shop?” Is there a perception in your organization that Business Architecture will slow everyone and everything down?

Aileen, Charles, David and Garrett will lead a panel discussion where they will share their experiences and ideas for embracing Business Architecture while working with an Agile approach for execution. This will be a highly interactive session with the majority of the session being Q&A — this is an excellent way for us to learn from one another and share knowledge!

SIG update: The next Special Interest Group (SIG) will be launching in July. Following our Community Meeting. The focus for the SIG is Business Architecture & Agile Transformation. Bring your ideas—we will spend a few minutes framing up our focus for the SIG and sharing how you can get involved.
