Presented by Metropolitan State Institute for Professional Development

The Business Architect Certificate focuses on what business architecture is and the value of what it can do for you and your organization. Learn when and how to use tools to:

  • Define your business
  • Understand your current business state
  • Delineate your future business state
  • Evaluate the capabilities that support that business
  • Determine capability gaps that are hindering your move to the future state
  • Build a roadmap of execution to move from current to future state

Drawing on the variety of experiences and background of the cohort group, the certificate is a rigorous, non-credit training program designed and delivered by practicing business architects who teach face-to-face and hands on in the classroom.

Part 1 Understanding the Business:

A case study throughout the course illustrates business architecture concepts.  Guided practice from experienced instructors guides participants through BI tools and how to use them successfully in their workplace.  The last module is a case study that then gives participants the opportunity to independently apply tools and receive feedback.  Participants will leave this course with the abilities to take this knowledge back to their organization and begin applying immediately.

Part 2 Business Strategy to Execution:

This course also uses a case study t to illustrate concepts, but is more advanced in the use of mapping capabilities, strategy alignment, and the use of tools such as maturity assessments, roadmaps, and business intelligence metrics to determine readiness and progress with business outcomes.   The last module involves a case study that requires participants to independently apply tools.   Participants leave the course with the ability to apply these same tools in their own organization and the confidence to move from strategy to execution.
